Reducing greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) from productive activities can be help to reduce climate changes in economic, social and natural systems. The aims of this study are investigated to balance between input and output energy per unit of area, identifying and determining the quantity of greenhouse gas emissions associated with different production levels of wheat. To this purpose the data collected through questionnaires and interviews from 130 farmers farm and using life cycle assessment (LCA), Partial details of environmental impacts and greenhouse gas emissions in the wheat production process were studied. Functional unit in this study is based on amount of production per hectare. The results showed that nitrogen fertilizers and machinery has the greatest impact on environmental pollution and the diesel fuels and electricity are in second step polluters. The results of LCA emphasize that management of utilization nitrogen fertilizer and use of machinery property must be consider in the production of wheat. © 2016 The Authors.
